Seymour overpowers Xavier in WIAA Division 3 boys basketball sectional final

NEENAH – The Xavier boys basketball team’s postseason run came to an end Saturday with a 71-52 loss to Bay Conference-rival Seymour in a WIAA Division 3 sectional final at Neenah High School.

Seymour held Xavier to a season-low in points and defeated the Hawks for the third time this season.

Seymour (27-1) advances to the 2026 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison. The Thunder, making their first state appearance since 2011, will play a Division 3 semifinal against St. Croix Central (18-9) on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

The Hawks shot just 19 of 46 from the field and 7 of 19 from 3-point range in the loss, finishing the season with a 20-8 record.

Kyler Bleck had 18 points, and Logan Ramczyk finished with 16 points and eight rebounds for Xavier.
