Strong first half pushes De Pere past Appleton West football

APPLETON – De Pere scored six first-half touchdowns and defeated Appleton West 43-6 in a Fox River Valley Classic Conference North Division football game Friday night at Appleton West High School.

De Pere forced three turnovers and kept the Terrors scoreless until the fourth quarter.

Caden Schampers had 121 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and Dante Matta added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Cardinals (4-4, 3-3 FRVCC North).

Statistics for Appleton West, drops to 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the FRVCC North, were not provided.

Appleton West will complete its regular season Friday, Oct. 17, at undefeated West De Pere.
