Two late goals lift Fox Cities Stars boys hockey past Northland Pines

MADISON – The Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team scored twice in the final 2:08 to defeat Northland Pines 7-5 on Monday at the Culver’s Cup at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.
Cale Adamovich scored with 2:08 left and added another on an empty net with 1:29 remaining to finish off a four-goal day and lead the Stars to a perfect 3-0 record at the three-day tournament.
Parker Janssen, Blayke Adamovich and Jake Koller added goals for the Stars (11-1), while Andrew Ostermann had four assists and Preston McGinnish had two assists in the victory.
Elliot Reichenbacher had 35 saves in goal for Fox Cities.
The Stars are back in action Saturday at home against South Central (DeForest Co-op). The game at the Appleton Family Ice Center will begin at 7 p.m.
