Undefeated Winneconne outlasts Fox Valley Lutheran football

WINNECONNE – Winneconne forced four turnovers and held off Fox Valley Lutheran 38-31 in a Bay Conference football game Thursday night at Winneconne High School.

Fox Valley Lutheran quarterback Gabe Heiges threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns, two to Jacoby Dobberstein and another to Braden Heiges, but was picked off four times by the Wolves, who remain undefeated at 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the Bay Conference.

Dobberstein caught five balls for 193 yards, which included a 62-yard reception and TD catches of 56 and 25 yards.

Winneconne rushed for 255 yards in the victory.

Fox Valley Lutheran (5-3, 3-3 Bay Conference) will wrap up its regular-season schedule at home against Shawano on Friday, Oct. 17.
