Xavier boys golf wins final Bay Conference meet of season

APPLETON – As the weather has warmed up, so has the Xavier boys golf team.

The Hawks captured the sixth and final meet of the Bay Conference Tournament series on Tuesday at Butte des Morts Country Club, finishing with a team score of 156, one shot in front of West De Pere.

West De Pere’s Darrien Thomas was the meet medalist with a 37, with Xavier’s Jonah Gentry one stroke behind with a 38, and Jack Schmidtke and Derek Watry tying for third with 39s.

Grant Neumann added a 40 and Kyle Watry shot 42 as well for Xavier.

The 18-hole Bay Conference Tournament will be held at Chaska Golf Course in Appleton on Tuesday, May 20.
