Xavier girls basketball hits 15 3s, defeats Milwaukee Academy of Science

MILWAUKEE – Xavier made 15 3-pointers and outscored Milwaukee Academy of Science by double digits in each half in a 77-55 win in a nonconference girls basketball game Friday night at MASHS.
Hailey Hafner made five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points, and Brynn Krull knocked down four 3s and chipped in 16 points for the Hawks, who are now 3-1 this season.
Xavier pulled out to a 37-26 lead at halftime and outscored the Novas (3-1) by 11 in the second half as well to finish off the victory.
Xavier will play a Bay Conference game at Seymour on Tuesday.
