Xavier softball cruises to road win at Green Bay West/East

GREEN BAY – Addison Hervey and Morgan Staszak combined on a two-hitter to lead the Xavier softball team to an 8-1 victory over Green Bay West/East on Tuesday at Colburn Park.

The Hawks (9-5, 5-4 Bay Conference) scored all eight of their runs in the first three innings and rode the arms of their two pitchers the rest of the way.

Hervey struck out nine without a walk in five innings of work and Staszak had three strikeouts over the final two innings, with each giving up one hit in the victory.

Elsa Dvoracek, Elianna Riehl, Samia Guerrero and Hervey each had two hits for Xavier.

Xavier will host Menasha on Thursday.
