Xavier wins team title, North’s Huenink takes individual crown at 2025 Appleton City Boys Golf Meet

MENASHA – Xavier had four top-10 finishes and went on to win the team title at the 2025 Appleton City Boys Golf Meet on Monday at North Shore Golf Club.

Appleton North’s Jonathan Huenink won individual medalist honors with a 76, one stroke better than Prestynn Evers of Appleton West, Owen Lutes of Appleton East and Derek Watry of Xavier. Lutes also finished second last year after losing out on a tiebreaker.

Xavier solidified the team title as Jonah Gentry and Jack Schmidtke both shot 78 and Grant Neumann fired an 80 as the Hawks finished with a team score of 313, 10 strokes in front of Appleton West (323). Appleton East was third (327), Appleton North fourth (339) and Fox Valley Lutheran fifth (355).

Kaden Kusserow led Fox Valley Lutheran, finishing among the four-way tie for seventh with West’s Austin Arizola, North’s Daniel Garrigan and Neumann with an 80.
