MADISON – The 2026 WIAA State Softball Tournament concluded Saturday with five divisional championship games at the Goodman Softball Complex.

The tournament featured four first-time state champions – Almond-Bancroft in Division 5, Lomira in Division 3, Fox Valley Lutheran in Division 2, and Sussex Hamilton in Division 1.

DIVISION 5
Almond-Bancroft (28-1), making its second-straight trip to state, picked up its first title with a 16-8 rout of Belmont in the Division 5 championship game.

The Eagles scored in all seven of their at-bats, including six times in the top of the seventh to put the game away.

Almond-Bancroft pounded out 20 hits, including three each from Riya Ceballo, Oakley Omernik, Emalee Petrick and Sophia Chapa.

Lexi Riechers hit two home runs and drove in four for Belmont (22-7).

DIVISION 4
Mineral Point (28-4) earned the D-4 state title with a 6-0 shutout of Johnson Creek (26-5). The title is the Pointers’ second in program history as they won the D-3 championship in 2013.

Tenleigh Bockhop tossed a complete game three-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Mineral Point. Austy Kinch and Aida Tuttle each had two hits in the win.

DIVISION 3
Lomira (27-3) won its first state title with a 5-0 victory over Lodi (21-8). Lomira was making its third state tournament appearance and had not won a game in its first two in 2015 and 2021.

Haleigh Caspary threw a complete game shutout for Lomira, allowing five hits with five strikeouts.

Eleanor Collies had two RBI, and Trista Gassner and Lilian Christian each had two hits for Lomira.

DIVISION 2
Fox Valley Lutheran (26-3) capped off its first state championship with a dominating 9-1 win over Pewaukee (21-10).

Madison Babcock struck out 12 with just three hits allowed in a complete game effort for the Foxes, while also contributing a double, a home run and four RBI. Lexi Hanson also homered and finished with three hits in the victory.

DIVISION 1
Sussex Hamilton won its 30th game of the season and first state championship with an 8-3 thumping of Muskego in the D-1 final.

Trailing 2-1, Hamilton scored four times in the third inning to pull away.

Aubire Peterson went 3-for-4 with two doubles and six RBI to lead the charge for Chargers.
