Appleton North baseball slams Oshkosh West for third-straight win

OSHKOSH – The Appleton North baseball team used a huge second inning to blow past Oshkosh West on its way to a 14-4 victory in a Fox Valley Association matchup Thursday at West High School.

Aeden Waterstreet had a two-RBI single to spark a nine-run outburst in the second inning for the Lightning.

Teegan Karpinske had an RBI double, Colin Reddy drove in two with a single and Owen Reuland cracked three-run homer to put North up 9-1.

After West responded with three runs in the bottom of the second, Reuland and Isaak L’Esperance each tossed two shutout innings to finish off the win for the Lightning.

Jackson Skorr had three hits and an RBI, Waterstreet finished with two hits and four RBI, and Brennan Otto and Reddy each added two hits for Appleton North (3-1, 2-0 Fox Valley Association).

Appleton North is back in action Monday at Green Bay Notre Dame.
