Appleton United girls lacrosse drops road game at Oregon

OREGON – Oregon scored five times in the opening quarter and never trailed in a 13-7 win over Appleton United in a nonconference girls lacrosse game Friday night at Oregon High School.

Oregon led 5-2 after the first quarter and finished off the win with a 4-2 advantage in the fourth quarter as Appleton was never able to catch up.

Riley Harris had three goals, Candice Guerrero added two, and Kailey Heindel and Kayden Smith each scored once for Appleton, which drops to 1-1 this season.

Smith had four assists and Heindel added two, while Morgan Muntner made 10 saves in goal for Appleton.

Appleton United will play a Bay Valley Conference game at Neenah on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
