Appleton West’s Arizola wins medalist honors at Fond du Lac Boys Golf Invitational

FOND DU LAC – Appleton West junior Austin Arizola won meet medalist honors by three strokes as the Terrors placed second at the eight-team Fond du Lac Cardinals Boys Golf Invitational on Saturday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
Arizola shot a 74 to take first and finish three shots ahead of Hortonville’s Carter Rohde and four in front of Kaukauna’s Jonah Roehig.
Kaukauna won the team title with a 323, with Appleton West second with a 333.
Graham Goldschmidt shot an 84, Mason Peterson had an 86, Gavin Goodyear finished with an 89 and Tucker Stanley had a 105 as well for Appleton West.
Appleton West begins a busy week Monday at the Marathon Invitational at Pine Valley Golf Course before playing a Fox Valley Association dual at High Cliff Golf Course against Kimberly on Tuesday.
