Fox Valley Lutheran softball wins tight one over Appleton North

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team pushed its winning streak to 13 with a 2-0 nonconference win over Appleton North on Monday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Natlie Bromm had an RBI single and Madison Babcock followed with a run-scoring double for the Foxes (13-0) in the third inning to plate the game’s only runs.
FVL had four of its six hits in the third inning but it proved to be enough as Babcock was masterful again in the circle.
Babcock allowed three hits and two walks while striking out 13 to pick up the win for the Foxes.
Claire Therkildsen had two hits, including a double, for Appleton North, which drops to 10-3.
Both teams will play home games on Tuesday as Appleton North hosts Neenah and FVL takes on New London.
