Fond du Lac uses late rally to defeat Appleton West baseball

FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past Appleton West 5-3 in the regular season and Fox Valley Association finale for both teams on Thursday at Fond du Lac High School.

Appleton West took a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Ethan Chosa, an error and a sacrifice fly by Henry Ott.

The score held until the sixth when the Cardinals (16-8, 12-6 FVA) plated four runs on three hits, two walks and a hit batter.

Appleton West (3-22, 2-16 FVA) was held to three hits.

The Terrors will play a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal at De Pere on Tuesday.
