Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball sees five-game win streak snapped by Kimberly

APPLETON – The Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end with a 12-1 loss to Kimberly on Wednesday at Don Hawkins Field.
The only three hits of the game for Appleton (9-4) came from the first three batters in the first inning that loaded the bases. Jacob Gross hit a fielder’s choice grounder to drive in Post 38’s lone run.
Kimberly went on to score four runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings to pull away and end the game via the 10-run rule.
Post 38 is off until Monday when it hosts Oshkosh at 7:30 p.m. at Hawkins Field.
