Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball blows past Oshkosh

OSHKOSH – The Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball team scored 11 unanswered runs to erase an early deficit and defeated Oshkosh 13-3 on Monday night at E.J. Schneider Field.

Post 38 (10-4) scored four times in the fifth and seventh innings to pull away for the victory.

Henry Ott struck out seven over six innings to earn the win, and also had a double for Appleton.

Nicholas Downs had two hits and drove in four, and Hugh Comerford had two hits and two RBI to lead the Appleton offense.

Appleton Post 38 hosts Neenah on Wednesday. Game time at Don Hawkins Field is 7:30 p.m.
