Appleton North baseball loses at home to Oshkosh North

APPLETON – Oshkosh North scored four times in the top of the fifth inning and held off a late push to defeat Appleton North 4-3 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at Appleton North High School.
Cash Christianson struck out nine without a walk in a complete game effort for the Lightning, who have now lost five games in a row as they drop to 11-8 overall and 7-8 in the FVA.
Logan Gross singled home Colin Reddy with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to bring the Lightning to within a run, but the game ended with a strikeout, ending Appleton North’s rally.
Jack Bennett and Braydan Frank each had two RBI for Oshkosh North (5-15, 4-11 FVA).
Appleton North plays at Appleton East on Thursday.
