Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball routs Marshfield 16U

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball team downed the Marshfield 16U team 11-1 to wrap up a three-day tournament at Lincoln High School.

Appleton went 2-2 at the tournament and moves to 3-2 overall this season.

Jacob Gross went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI, and Henry Ott was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and earned the pitching win to lead the way for Appleton.

Ott struck out seven over six shutout innings, giving up three hits and three walks.

Isaac Ise added two hits and scored three times as well in the victory.

Appleton plays at Neenah on Tuesday.
