Appleton West baseball loses tight game to Oshkosh North

APPLETON – Oshkosh North used a six-run third inning to power past Appleton West 7-5 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
William Malnar had a two-run single in the second inning to give the Terrors (1-11, 0-6 FVA) an early lead, but Oshkosh North responded with a six-run third to take control.
Five walks, a hit batter and an error led to the big inning for the Spartans (3-7, 2-5 FVA), who were able to hold on from there.
Charlie Blevins had two hits and Isaac Ise scored twice for Appleton West.
The Terrors will play at Appleton East on Thursday.
