Appleton West boys golf defeats Appleton North

NEENAH – Appleton West picked up its second win of the Fox Valley Association dual meet season with a 161-173 victory over Appleton North in boys golf action Thursday at Winagamie Golf Course.

Appleton North’s Jonathan Huenink shot an even-par round of 36 to win medalist honors, but Appleton West (2-1 FVA) had four of the next five top scores to pick up the team victory.

Graham Goldschmidt had a 37, Mason Peterson shot a 40, Keaton Buss had a 41 and Austin Arizola a 43 for the Terrors.

Camden Huck also had a 43, Gordy Cole fired a 45 and Vaughn Yingling had a 49 to round out the Lightning’s scoring.

Appleton North will compete at the Wautoma Invitational at Wautoma Country Club on Friday. Appleton West will travel to Westhaven Golf Course in Oshkosh to take on Oshkosh West on Tuesday.
