Miscues prove costly for Appleton North baseball in loss to Neenah

NEENAH – Neenah scored six runs in the third inning to pull past Appleton North 11-7 in the Fox Valley Association baseball finale on Thursday at Neenah High School.

North (12-11, 8-10 FVA) committed eight errors leading to 10 unearned runs in the loss.

Jackson Skorr went 3-for-3 with two RBI, Owen Reuland drove in two, and Nathan Ramus had two hits and scored twice for the Lightning.

Appleton North will wrap up its regular season with a nonconference doubleheader at Menomonee Falls on Saturday. The Lightning open postseason play Tuesday at home against Green Bay Preble in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal.
