Xavier finishes second, FVL fourth at first Bay Conference Boys Golf Meet

NEENAH – Sawyer Krueger shot an even-par 36 to win medalist honors and gave Winneconne a one-stroke win over Xavier in the first Bay Conference Boys Golf Meet of the season Thursday at Westridge Golf Course.
Winneconne finished with a team score of 151 in the nine-hole event, one shot in front of Xavier. Fox Valley Lutheran tied New London for fourth with a 174.
Krueger held off teammate Sully Ramthun for the individual title, while Xavier’s William Bauman and Derek Watry each shot 37, and Grant Neumann had a 38 as they rounded out the top five.
Kaden Kusserow and Quinn Murphy tied for 14th with 42s to lead Fox Valley Lutheran.
Xavier and Fox Valley Lutheran will both compete at the second Bay Conference meet on Tuesday at Shawano Lake Golf Course.
