Fox Valley Lutheran softball stays unbeaten with home win over Winneconne

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team rapped out 14 hits and rolled to a 14-2 in over Winneconne in a Bay Conference game Saturday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes scored six runs in the second inning and tacked on seven more in the third, winning the game after five by the 10-run rule.

Madison Babcock struck out eight over three hitless innings, and Paige Leavitt finished off the win throwing the final two frames as the Foxes remain undefeated at 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the Bay Conference.

Leavitt was 3-for-3 with three RBI, and Babcock and Claire Pfrang each had two hits and three RBI as well for Fox Valley Lutheran.

FVL plays at Shawano on Tuesday.
