Fond du Lac shuts out Appleton West softball

APPLETON – Lillian Birschbach had two doubles, a home run and drove in two runs to lead Fond du Lac to a 10-0 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association softball game Tuesday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Appleton West (0-11, 0-9 FVA) had five hits, including two by Ali Raddatz, but could not scratch a run across.

Lia Liedke had two hits and two RBI as well for Fond du Lac (7-9, 4-5 FVA).

Appleton West is back at home Thursday against Appleton North.
