Appleton North’s Huenink wins medalist honors, Lightning drop FVA boys golf dual to Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH – Appleton North senior Jonathan Huenink shot a 36 to win medalist honors, but the Lightning lost their Fox Valley Association boys golf dual to Oshkosh North 162-166 on Tuesday at a windy Westhaven Golf Course.

Owen Weber shot a 39 to finish second and Oshkosh North (4-1 FVA) had three players shoot a 41 to edge out the Lightning (0-5 FVA) by four strokes for the dual win.

Gordy Cole had a 42, Camden Huck and Caulder Ver Kuilen shot 44, and William Tweedy had a 47 to round out Appleton North’s scoring.

Appleton North will host Hortonville at Reid Golf Course on Friday.
