Fox Valley Lutheran softball shuts out Kimberly behind Babcock no-hitter

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran pitcher Madison Babcock tossed a no-hitter as the Foxes shutout Kimberly 8-0 in a nonconference softball game Monday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Babcock struck out 15 while allowing just one walk as the Foxes rolled to the win, improving to 16-2 this spring.

The Foxes scored seven runs in the second inning, thanks to a pair of errors, an RBI single by Natalie Bromm and a three-run homer by Kinley Peterson.

Lexi Hanson had an RBI single in the third to finish off the scoring for FVL. Paige Leavitt had two hits as the Foxes finished with eight overall.

Fox Valley Lutheran plays a Bay Conference game at crosstown rival Xavier on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
