Oshkosh West pulls past Appleton West baseball in extra innings

APPLETON – Oshkosh West scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to top Appleton West 4-2 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
Appleton West (2-16, 1-10 FVA) fought back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game on a sacrifice fly by Ethan Chosa in the third inning and a single by Charlie Blevins and an error in the fifth.
The score held until the eighth when Noah Muehrer had an RBI single and Avery Mosloski drove him in with a double for the Wildcats (6-9, 4-7 FVA).
Appleton West got two runners on base in the bottom of the eighth before Cole Clarke struck out the final better to finish off the win for Oshkosh West.
Appleton West will host Kaukauna on Thursday.
