Fox Valley Lutheran baseball drops two at Wisconsin Lutheran Triangular

MILWAUKEE – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team dropped both games at the Wisconsin Lutheran Triangular on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
The Foxes lost a slugfest to Lakeside Lutheran 21-15 and fell to host Wisconsin Lutheran 9-1 to see their losing skid reach four in a row.
In the loss to Lakeside Lutheran (11-8), FVL scored in every inning but could not stop the Warriors’ hitting as they had four innings with four or more runs.
Michael Gutekunst had three hits and three RBI, and scored four times, Lincoln Thede had four hits and scored twice, and Noah Mayer had three hits and three RBI for the Foxes.
FVL (12-11) had seven hits, but managed only a single run in the loss to Wisconsin Lutheran (18-4).
Conor Tetting had an RBI single in the fourth inning for the Foxes only run.
Wyatt Schlueter, Jack Schlueter and Thede each had two hits for FVL.
Fox Valley Lutheran will be at home against Freedom for a nonconference game on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
