Appleton North baseball shuts out Green Bay Preble in WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal

APPLETON – Cash Christianson and Owen Reuland combined on a three-hit shutout as the No. 8 seed Appleton North blanked No. 9 Green Bay Preble 4-0 in a WIAA Division 1 baseball regional semifinal Tuesday at North High School.

Christianson struck out seven over five innings and Reuland completed the shutout with three strikeouts over two innings for the Lightning (14-11).

Appleton North moves on to a D-1 regional final at No. 1 seed Bay Port (22-3) on Thursday.

Griffin Stan had a two-RBI single in the second inning, and Colin Reddy and Reuland had back-to-back RBI singles in the fifth to provide the Lightning with all of the offense they needed.

Reuland and Reddy each had two hits as North finished with six in all.
