Appleton North baseball pulls past Fox Valley Lutheran

APPLETON – The Appleton North baseball team extended its winning streak to 10 with a 6-2 nonconference win over Fox Valley Lutheran on Friday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Owen Reuland doubled and scored on a ground out, and Brennan Otto had an RBI double in the third inning to give the Lightning the lead for good at 2-1.

Reuland had an RBI double in the fourth for North, and after FVL (10-3) pulled back to within a run on an RBI groundout by Jack Schlueter in the fifth, the Lightning put the game away with three runs over the final two innings.

Reuland knocked in his second run with a single in the sixth, and Otto had another RBI double in the seventh, which was followed by a sacrifice fly by Aedan Waterstreet for North (10-1).

Nathan Ramus picked up the pitching win, allowing one run in two innings of relief.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play a Bay Conference game at Seymour on Saturday at 10 a.m. North’s next game is Monday at Kimberly.
