Appleton North softball hammers three homers, downs Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA – The Appleton North softball team cracked out 16 hits, included three home runs, and rolled to a 10-4 win over Kaukauna in a Fox Valley Association game Tuesday at Kaukauna High School.
Brianna Gehrman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and two RBI, and Evelyn Frega and Drew Brown each hit homers for the Lightning, who defeated Kaukauna for the first time since 2019.
Charlotte Radke threw a complete game, striking out four as the Lightning remain unbeaten at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the FVA.
Brown finished with three hits, and Alyssa Ward, Radtke and Sawyer Haessly each had two hits as well for Appleton North.
Appleton North plays at Kimberly (3-0) on Thursday.
