Appleton North wins eight events, Appleton East two at FVA Track & Field Championships

APPLETON – The Kimberly boys and Neenah girls won the team championships at the 2026 Fox Valley Association Track & Field Championships on Monday at Whiting Field on the Lawrence University campus.
The Kimberly boys won with 145 points, well ahead of runner-up Fond du Lac, which had 103. Appleton North placed third with 91, Appleton East was fifth with 65.5 and Appleton West took 10th with 13.5.
The Neenah girls earned 153.5 points to win the FVA title, while Appleton North placed second with 141.5 points as it won six events. Appleton East was ninth with 10 and Appleton West last with two.
Picking up wins for the Appleton North boys were Adrion Rogers in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 7½ inches, and the 3,200-meter relay team of Elias Martinez, Jeremy Clark, Lukas Nahm and Jacob McGinn that won in 9:11.85.
The Appleton East boys also won two events as the 1,600 relay team of Birk Kozlowicz, Preston Schefe, Brady Koplitz, Allan Massingue won in 3:28.86, and Collin Hanson took first in the triple jump with a jump of 45-6.
The Appleton North girls won one relay and five individual races to pick up the runner-up in the team standings.
Eva Busch was a double-winner for the Lightning, taking first in the 3,200 (10:55.73) and the 1,600 (5:02.04).
The Lightning’s 1,600 relay team of Ashley Parrish, Isabel Parrish, Jada Ellis and Sophia Busch won in 4:00.76. Ashley Parrish won the 100 (12.26), Isabel Parrish took first in the 300 hurdles (45.60), and Ava Helmbrecht was first in the 800 (2:18.54).
Appleton East and Appleton West will compete in a WIAA Division 1 regional at Appleton North on Tuesday, May 26. The top four finishers in each event qualify for a D-1 sectional at West De Pere on Friday, May 29.
