Appleton teams grab 41 sectional spots at WIAA Division 1 Track & Field Regional

APPLETON – The Appleton North girls and boys combined for 25 sectional qualifying spots at a WIAA Division 1 track & field regional at Appleton North High School on Tuesday.
The top four finishers in each event move on to a Division 1 sectional at West De Pere on Friday, where the top three in each event there will qualify for the 2026 WIAA State Track & Field Championships on June 5-6 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The Appleton North girls won nine events and had seven other top-four finishes as it took the team title. The North boys won two events and earned nine sectional qualifiers as it placed third in the team standings.
The Appleton East boys had 11 sectional qualifiers and the East girls nailed down two slots, while the Appleton West boys had three sectional qualifiers and the girls were shut out.
