Fox Valley Lutheran wins 11 events at home WIAA Division 2 track regional

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran won 11 events and earned 40 sectional berths at a WIAA Division 2 track & field regional on Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
FVL won the boys team championship, taking eight individual regional titles, while the girls placed second and won three individual events.
The Foxes had 23 sectional berths for the boys and 17 for the girls. The top four finishers in each event qualify for Friday’s Division 2 sectional at Chilton. The top four in each event at the sectional will advance to the 2026 WIAA State Track & Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on June 5-6.
Kaleb Williams won three events, taking first in the boys 100 meters (11.01 seconds), the 200 (22.41) and the 400 (49.74), and Claire Fischer was a double-winner for the FVL girls as she won the 400 (1:00.26) and 800 (2:25.03).
Mya Burleton also picked up a win for the Fox Valley Lutheran girls, taking first in the 100 in 12.69 seconds.
Other regional champions for the FVL boys were Zachary Muenster in the 800 (1:57.35), Grant Wolfrath in the 300 hurdles (38.70), Jacoby Dobberstein in the triple jump (42 feet, 6¼ inches), the 400 relay team of Tyler Dequaine, Blessings Kapande, Cameron Williams and Jackson Mayer (43.40), and the 800 relay team of Dequaine, Kapande, Mayer and Jacoby Dobberstein (1:29.25).
