Xavier picks up 21 sectional qualifiers at WIAA Division 2 Kiel track regional

KIEL – The Xavier girls won eight regional titles and earned the team championship at a WIAA Division 2 track & field regional on Tuesday at Kiel High School.
Xavier finished with 163 points to win the girls team title, with Winneconne second with 132.
In all, the Xavier girls had 16 sectional qualifiers with top-four finishes, while the boys won one event and have five sectional qualifiers.
The top four finishers in each event advance to a Division 2 sectional on Friday at Chilton. The top four finishers in each event at the sectional qualify for the 2026 WIAA State Track & Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on June 5-6.
Picking up regional titles for the Xavier girls were Haily Hafner in the 100-meter hurdles (15.23 seconds) and the long jump (17 feet, 3½ inches), Lily Renz in the 400 (1:00.69), Caroline Basehoar in the pole vault (13-0), Brooke Vande Hey in the triple jump (34-7), the 400 relay team of Hafner, Bryce Hietpas, Basehoar and Kayla Fourmiller (49.97) and the 1,600 relay team of Lauren Erickson, Bernice Geurts, Renz and Grace Hackl (4:05.64).
Xavier’s lone boys regional title came from Wyatt Rouamba, who won the triple jump with a leap of 47-3.
