Appleton United girls lacrosse squeezes out road win at Notre Dame

GREEN BAY – The Appleton United girls lacrosse team picked up its second Bay Valley Conference win of the season with a tight 10-9 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday at Notre Dame High School.
Freshman Chloe Rhoda knocked in the game-winner late to give Appleton (2-1-1, 2-0-1 Bay Valley) the road victory.
Rhoda finished with four goals, Candice Guerrero and Riley Harris each scored twice, and Kailey Heindel and Kayden Smit added goals for Appleton.
Guerero, Rhoda and Sasha Sanchez had assists, and Morgan Muntner (four saves) and Rachel Racine (three saves) split time in goal for Appleton.
Notre Dame is now 2-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Appleton United will host Kimberly on Monday at Appleton East High School.
