Short-handed Appleton United boys lacrosse pulls past Oneida Nation

GREEN BAY – The Appleton United boys lacrosse team fought through injuries and relied on underclassmen to pull out an 8-5 win over Oneida Nation in a Bay Valley Conference contest Wednesday at Southwest High School.
With five players out with injuries, short-handed Appleton were able to pull out the road win behind juniors Roen Willis (three goals) and Sam Stillwell (two goals)
Juniors Ben Wilke and West Post, and sophomore Max Segelstrom also scored in the win for Appleton, which improves to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Bay Valley
Oneida is now 2-1 overall and in conference play.
Appleton United is back in action Friday at Kettle Moraine.
