Fox Valley Lutheran softball no-hits Notre Dame to win WIAA Division 2 regional title

APPLETON – Madison Babcock threw a five-inning no-hitter as the No. 1 seed Fox Valley Lutheran softball team shutout No. 4 Green Bay Notre Dame 11-0 in a WIAA Division 2 regional final on Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Babcock struck out 13, walked just two and didn’t allow a hit as the Foxes cruised to the win.

Nora Probst went 3-for-3 and scored twice, and Babcock and Claire Pfrang each had two hits and two RBI for Fox Valley Lutheran.

FVL (22-3) will host No. 2 seed Luxemburg-Casco (21-6) for a D-2 sectional semifinal Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
