Hortonville doubles up Appleton North baseball

HORTONVILLE – Appleton North was held to three hits and dropped a 4-2 decision to Hortonville in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Friday at Otto Miller Park.
Griffin Stan walked with the bases loaded in the second inning, and Matthew Hietpas walked and ended up scoring on a wild pitch in the sixth for North’s only runs as the Lightning lost their fourth straight.
Owen Reuland struck out six in 3 2/3 innings of relief, allowing two runs for North (11-7, 7-7 FVA).
Appleton North hosts Oshkosh North on Tuesday.
