Xavier baseball finishes regular season with home win over Crivitz

APPLETON – The Xavier baseball team finished off its regular season with a 10-2 rout of Crivitz in a nonconference game Tuesday at Don Hawkins Field.

Gavin Wiese had a triple, two home runs and drove in four to pace the Hawks, who enter the playoffs with a 15-9 record and winners of their last four games.

Titan Milhaupt had three hits and two RBI, and Kyler Bleck had three hits and drove in one for Xavier.

Frankie Cavaiani threw 3 1/3 innings, allowing two runs to earn the pitching win. Four relievers pitched a shutout in the rest of the way.

Xavier opens its WIAA postseason with a Division 2 regional semifinal at home against Wrightstown on Thursday.
