Xavier softball blasts Mayville

MAYVILLE – The Xavier softball team scored 11 times in the first inning and rolled to a 19-2 nonconference win over Mayville on Saturday, ending a three-game losing streak.

The Hawks (3-3) ripped out 16 hits, and used nine errors and six walks to cruise to the win.

Jennifer Lueck was 4-for-4 with four runs scored, and Abby Ourada had three hits and scored three times for Xavier.

Elsa Dvoracek and Morgan Staszak each had three RBI as well for Xavier.

Xavier will host Shawano on Tuesday.
