Appleton United girls lacrosse ties Neenah in weather-shortened game

NEENAH – The Appleton United girls lacrosse team came from behind to tie Neenah 5-5 in a Bay Valley Conference matchup Tuesday at Neenah High School.
The game was called in the fourth quarter due to a thunderstorm in the area.
Neenah led 2-0 after the first period before Appleton clawed back and tied the game with two goals in the fourth quarter before the game was halted.
Riley Harris scored twice, and Candice Guerrero, Kailey Heindel and Kayden Smit each added goals for Appleton (1-1-1, 1-0-1 Bay Valley).
Naomi Konkle had an assist and Morgan Muntner made five saves in goal for Appleton.
Appleton United’s next game is April 21 at Green Bay Notre Dame.
